This week’s quick hits: Sweet treats in Sin City

By: Victoria Elias

This week’s quick hits include highly rated dessert destinations. Pack the floss and let’s hit it!

Sprinkles Cupcakes

Sprinkles cupcakes might seem out of place on a list of reasonably priced dining spots. SprinklesWe wouldn’t blame you for thinking $3.50 for a cupcake is insane. But are you following them on Instagram? You should be. Also, join their birthday club to get a free morsel of heaven (a.k.a. a Sprinkles cupcake) free on your birthday. On Instagram the company often shares BOGO deals, discounts, etc. With that knowledge in hand, go forth and munch on a Red Velvet. Trust us, you won’t be sorry.

Baja Bar & Grill

Located near the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus, this place is the dictionary definition of a quick but cheap meal. While the food is fantastic (cheap beers and great tacos), what really catches the eye is their deep-fried desserts, including deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, served in their uniquely Vegas cheese. Pair them together, and you have a (possibly literal) Fried Oreoheart-stopping treat. Break apart that deep-fried cholesterol morsel and taste cool ice cream with a delicious caramel sauce or an Oreo with chocolate sauce you’ll love.

Settebello

SettebelloWhile authentic pizza like you’d get in Napoli is what this praised place is known for, there’s a not-so-closely guarded secret menu item all of the locals hold dear. The Nutella pizza, a pizza crust covered with bananas, sliced almonds, strawberries, Nutella and powdered sugar, is equal parts beautiful and delicious. It’s definitely something you should share with your loved ones, but if you don’t, we’re sure they’ll understand.
